Weekend at the Heia Safari Lodge

On Thursday afternoon we received notice from the body corp. that we will not have water the whole day on Saturday. Friday morning Mr LoverOfThings says, why not go away for the weekend. That meant I had to find a place to accommodate our family of 3, to no protest I got on it :). Within minutes of the search I was already getting anxious as it seemed everywhere I checked was fully booked. I think by now my good friend Mrs N saw her friend was not coping, it was already afternoon and I still had not find a place. She came to  my rescue when she came across this place Heia Safari Lodge. Update the name has changed from Heia Safari Ranch to Cradle Moon Lakeside

Oh! It turned out to be such a great weekend, as most unplanned events turn to be :). This was the view from our chalet

24 September (Heritage Day)

I hardly ever celebrate public holidays ( I just see them as a day off from work) which I end up working anyway (house work)  :). So for the 24th of September 2015 things had to be different they just had to be. Needless to say my family has gone through some significant changes this year, which I won't dwell on at this time however those changes made me wanna celebrate our lives together now and not wait until we have this or that. Deciding to live life with what you got or making what you got work for you tends to make life a whole lot simpler and enjoyable #lesson learned :).

Great fun was had Goldreef City never disappoints and of course there is never enough time for all the rides which normally means plans to come back soonest were made

Jumping into the new year!!!

2014 came and went with its fair share of trials and tribulations as we welcome 2015 I could not think of a better way to do that than just jump into it :)

No Mixer Banana Bread

I was looking at the blog’s slogan “Beats and Pieces of my Journey my peace my life my love my joy…” and I realized I haven’t been sharing much of anything lately, which is about to change. Soon I will be sharing my love for all that’s DIY; Foodie and everything else in between. I've been exploring my love for baking and decided to start with this easy Banana Bread Recipe which I found here
